It’s the 1st of May and if I can be completely transparent I haven’t even begun with my “New Resolution” of losing weight. And I’m not beating myself up about it either. The past few months have been a little chaotic and there is simply not enough time in a day.
But in the midst of all of this, I did realize that even if I couldn’t make it to an actual gym or workout class that I could still do my best with with getting active by simply making sure I got atleast 10k steps in a day! Yes, 10,000 steps! It sounds pretty frightening but once you get moving it’s actually not that bad.
Atleast 10k a day…..What does that mean? It means less sitting and more walking. It means that the weather is breaking and I should atleast try to walk a few times around the block. It also means not looking for a parking spot right at the door when I’m out shopping or running errands. Of course there will be some adjustments to my eating habits but I definitely needed to get on top of the active piece of this equation.
No matter if my schedule or life doesn’t allow for more exercise time, I am fully committing to ATLEAST 10K A DAY!!! Will you join me?
(Currently at 9,594 as I am writing this! Today’s goal almost met!)
